The Beauty of NATURE with a Taste of ADVENTURE

The Beauty of NATURE with a Taste of ADVENTURE

Monchique Adventure

4 Hours (+options) – Max 5 guests

Take a half day – away from the coast – to explore the empty spaces of the interior. We go up the Monchique hills, crossing a series of streams and following a deep mountainous valley until we reach the hanging pedestrian bridge of Alferce. Here, if you want, you can have a short walk, across the bridge, and I will pick you up, on the other side.

For those who would like a longer (and steeper) walk there is also the option of a beautiful hike up to “Picota” – the second highest summit of the Monchique hills. We choose this summit becuase it is the most beautiful and untouched. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views. The walk up and down takes just under an hour.

From the outskirts of the town of Monchique we return back to Silves through a never ending maze of offroad paths and constantly changing views.

Depending on the time of day you may like to stop to enjoy a meal. You are welcome to bring a picnic with you, or I can take you to a delicious restaurant with great views
